I'm sure the electronics shop in Big C Mae Hia (called 'Amorn', I believe- it's in the section to the left side of the complex near where the banks and phone counters are)- their prices are low on that kind of item.

I've seen them in HomePro but any electrical specialist should be able to supply.

What do you intend powering from the beast? You need to match the size of the converter to the load it's connected to.

It's an ozone generator...  it says:

Voltage:  110VAC 50/60Hz

Power: 10W

10 W should be no problem at all.  Just make sure you really do get a converter that really does change the voltage.  I have seen some "converters" that really only change the plug types but took a few reads of the packages to really be sure.

You are aware ozone is a real danger and should not be used in any area you breath?  Ion generators (which do not produce much or any are much safer if trying to clean smoke from air).  Or active filtration with HEPA filter or even 3M Filtrate sheets on AC.

I am aware of both the dangers and the benefits, thanks. ????

The step-down transformers sold at Amorn are Chinese junk. There are a number of factories in Bangkok that will make a high-quality one for you to order. I have several and two of mine were made by Siam Neonline http://siamneonline.com/eng/products.php?cat_id=9&sub_id=24

Mine are 2,000 and 3,000 watts but it sounds like you need one much lower in wattage. The turn-around is very quick - like 24-48 hours and shipping depends on how quickly you want it. I opted for the slow truck and pick up from the depot and it was only about 100 Baht.
