KoreanBBQ
Greetings everyone, hope you all can provide some advice and insight. I'm interested in the idea of trying to open a branch of the company I am currently at partner in (based in the US). The questions I have: 1. Is this even possible, opening a Thai branch of an already existing US LLC? 2. If possible, would I have to employ a certain number of Thai national employees? 3. How do work permits operate in this kind of situation? I'm just starting to put out feelers for this and so far have found a ton of info, but all of it seem fairly nebulous and some of it is actually contradictory. Hoping someone here can provide some insight. Thanks! Edited January 23, 2020 by KoreanBBQ
ubonjoe
This business guide from the BOI has some info on page 12 and others. https://www.boi.go.th/upload/content/A Business Guide to thailand 2019.pdf Only one Thai employee is needed to get a work permit per person or a extension of stay at immigration.
