More bone fragments - suspected of being human - have been found in a pond near the home of suspected serial killer Apichai Ongwisit.

Apichai is known in the Thai media as "Ice - Metal Box" after his nickname and his admission that one of his victims died after he put her overnight in a metal box.

She was young "sideline" woman Warinthorn or "Kukkik" who was found buried in a bag.

Police divers have already found 300 bones in the pond beind Apichai's address in Petchkasen Soi 47 in Thonburi west of Bangkok.

Yesterday about 10 more bones were found in a submerged metal box about 15 meters from the original finds.

The box itself could not be brought to the surface yet due to the fact that it was entangled in mud and weeds, reported Naew Na.

But the bone fragments were believed to be human comprising neck and back vertebrae. They have been sent for forensic analysis.

Apichai is thought to have murdered at least three people.

He is the drug dealing son of a former wealthy market trader in Bang Khae who himself was murdered after dismembering a young girl who annoyed him by tapping on his prized fish tank.

Investigations continue in a case that has been the talk of Thailand in recent weeks.
