What is the deal with the numerous Western gurus and their holistic wellness centers in northern Thailand? A friend of mine from the states will be visiting here for the first time and asked me about these healing shops of which I know nothing about. I've looked at the numerous websites and most seem to cater to the new age crowd and the costs for various courses can be fairly expensive. For example, one place offers a 90 minute session for B6,900. Maybe, I am the nut here but I'm thinking these places are fleecing the gullible. Or is this the new trend, the therapy tourists?
