finy
Does anyone know if this is keto or not? I don't really know how they cook it. I know there is gravy involved, but they might just steam it inside the funny looking contraption they use.
robblok
Keto or not depends on the presence of carbs. Now it depends how much sugar is in the gravy and other stuff but in general id say that meats are keto unless there is a lot of sugary sauce / gravy involved.
Saltire
I have tested the sugar levels in my blood on many Thai foods (but so far, not duck). Every single one was loaded with sugar. The pad thai went off the scale. As for the whole duck though, it may not be keto but likely on the lower end of the glycemic scale due to the meat content. Next time I see a whole duck I will add it to my testing! I am curious now.
cooked
If you want to be sure then you have to cook everything yourself. You can be sure that a cheap (and maybe recycled, using bleach) vegetable oil was involved, as well as sugar and MSG. Duck meat in itself contains zero carbs, as you doubtless know already.
