You have to attach a copy of your TM6 departure card to the application for the extension of stay.

Make a copy of both cards and take both of the originals with you and they can check which card is for whom in their database. Then write your name  and passport number on the one that is yours.

Thank you for the sensible advice.  Do you have any idea if there is a landside immigration help centre at Suvarnabhumi in order to avoid a trip to CW?

There is a immigration office in the terminal. You could try doing it there.

If you are near the airport you might be able to get it sorted out at the office in Samut Prakan since you would not be applying for an extension or anything else that requires you to be staying within there service area.

So they don't staple the TM6 but the receipt for 1900 baht is fine...... odd.

A few days ago they stapled the TM6 in my passport, so i guess it depends on the IO and if he is out of staples or not.

The TM6-card is of course only for foreigners.

Until a few years ago (maybe 2 or 3) Thais also had to complete it.
