Popular Post webfact
Thai man raids post office at knifepoint to repay gambling money stolen from his wife Picture: Daily News A 22 year old Thai man told police that he stole money from a post office because he was concerned his wife would be angry with him after he frittered away 10,000 baht of her money on online baccarat. Chatpawee, 31, the owner of a shop used as a post office depot in the DD Land housing estate in the Uthai sub-district of Ayuthaya had earlier gone to police to say she was held up at knifepoint by a man in a full face helmet who disappeared with 17,000 baht on a lady's motorcycle. Police studied the getaway route on CCTV that soon led them to Moo 8 and a block of flats where they found the motorcycle parked. Upstairs in a room on the third floor they found Siripong K. from Nakhon Sawan. Clothes used during the crime and 14,000 baht was taken into evidence. Siripong said he was worried about gambling away his wife's money and replaced it so she wouldn't be cross with him. He had borrowed a friend's motorcycle to commit the crime. He'd already spent 3,000 baht from the proceeds of the robbery. He was taken into custody. Yesterday i was waiting in the Burger King while 2 guys (from GRAB) came in wearing a full balaclava as long as they were inside.. I don't feel comfortable between guys like that. 1

Which would be a worse fate. His wife's response to him losing her money gambling, or several years in a Thai jail. Might be a toss up.
