The Thai motorcycle taxi rider who drove a neighbor's car into the back of another neighbor killing him instantly, has given himself up to the Ayuthaya police.

Channel 7 had the full footage from the incident at a housing estate at the weekend.

Victim Suphan Yatbanthung, 56, was watering his plants outside his house and the suspect Phaiboon Sangsan, 57, was walking opposite with two children and another man. He had been hired to drive them.

After the children and the man get in the car Phaiboon reversed and deliberately plowed into the back of his neighbor propelling him 50 meters down the soi.

He then drove off with his passengers to football practice three kilometers away where the car was abandoned.

Yesterday Phaiboon gave himself up and apologized for his actions with a wai. He said he was cross but gave few other details despite being pressed by reporters.

A local official said that the two men had had a long running feud and that on this occasion words were exchanged and the man watering his plants may have directed the spray in the direction of the suspect.

At the funeral for the dead man his wife Kamon, 41, refused to accept the apology.

Shocked relatives were all convinced that this was the deliberate and premeditated act of a murderer.

Give him a mirror in his cell, he can practice his wai all he wants every day for the rest of his miserable life.

From my experience this is all part of life in Thailand. Such trivial reasons for murder. In the small village I lived in there was a murder nearly every year and for such trivial reasons like handing 1 baht to a friend singing at a karaoke sentenced to death by father and son (stabbed), giving marital advice from a friend, sentenced to death (stabbed) and non prosecuted as an agreed payment made to family and police.
