Government mulls new economic stimuli to be rolled out in February

The Thai Government is set to roll out a new economic stimulus package, including another phase of the Chim-Shop-Chai (Eat-Shop-Spend) program, to stimulate domestic spending and investment by businesses in a slowing economy, which is being hampered by a reduction in tourist arrivals as a result of the coronavirus outbreak in China.

TORONTO (Reuters) - Canada has identified only three cases of the new coronavirus so far, but there are fears a more serious outbreak could stoke anti-Asian sentiment in scenes reminiscent of the SARS epidemic that killed dozens in the Toronto area in the early 2000s.

PHUKET: A 4-year-old Chinese girl from Wuhan who along with her sister, parents and six others travelling together on a package tour was not allowed to board her flight home last Friday (Jan 24) has tested negative to the virus and been discharged from hospital.
