Golden Triangle Posted February 1, 2020 Share Posted February 1, 2020 With this Corona virus doing the rounds at the moment does anyone foresee the Honda LPGA being cancelled ? There are obviously a lot of Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai and European players and of course all the golf fans from around the world, could be a recipe for disaster or will the authorities allow it to go ahead. runamok27 Posted February 2, 2020 Share Posted February 2, 2020 If the situation stays about the same and doesn't completely go off a cliff they will probably still hold the tournament but I would guess that some players will drop out. I think that it was a joint decision between them & the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation, I'm trying to find official confirmation somewhere/anywhere. Due to the continued health concerns and recent advisories surrounding the coronavirus in some Asian countries, the LPGA and its partners have made the decision to cancel the 2020 Honda LPGA Thailand and the 2020 HSBC Women’s World Championship in Singapore.
