There is no Thai or Asian culture regarding this.... That's BS.

Just let people be. Some like kissing some don't.

I do Japanese porn kissing, but can't drink water from the same bottle with a woman. Go figure

Let me get this right:  there is no Thai or Asian culture; just Japanese.

Sniff kissing is the Thai traditional way, along with the wai....

One thing I immediately noticed & enjoyed in Thailand versus other asian nations is they are respectful of personal space....

Part of an extension of their conservative culture....

I couldn't agree more.  This is what I want to understand better.  It is particularly opaque when the brash opposite is on display.  In fact the same person can move from the one to the other.

How many people have you slept with?

Do not really know how many.  Been visiting Thailand for 22 years, so have likely "slept with" over 100.
Back in my 40's when first vacationing in Thailand, yes slept with quite a few ladies that did not kiss.

Different motivations back then, many were PSE, and at the time, very enjoyable with or without kissing.

Nowadays in my 60's and retired here, my priorities and frequency has changed, prefer a GFE.

So, for me, kissing is necessary when sharing intimate moments with a lady.

No worries, we are all different and all have different needs and expectations.

All good.

Peace✌️

Nothing to do with that Western 20th century invention, they're simply avoiding male-female contact. When I first came to Thailand over 30 years ago the male-male and female-female contact was widespread, but never male-female. When I went (with a youngish American) to Delhi 15 years ago he was horrified at the male-male intimacy of arms around shoulders, assuming it mean, horror of horrors, same-sex attraction

You never had a good girlfriend then.

That would be true.

The exception would be temporary GFs in LOS. I'd find a nice one and take her to the beach. Most ( with some notable exceptions ) were lovely and I really enjoyed my holiday. The problem was usually with ones that I had for a long time, who started taking me for granted.

I had a few western GFs and none worked out. I think the problem was they wanted to get married, and I didn't. The one I had a long relationship with turned out to be a using <deleted> from hell.

What they wanted was a free house and a share of your asset/pension/savings.

"With all my worldly goods I thee endow", is the only part they care about.

I remember that movie "What women want", they never mentioned any of that.

I think some on here are confusing kissing in public with kissing in private. It IS culturally inappropriate to kiss in public in LOS. It used to be that even walking with a farang was frowned on, and holding hands in public just not done ( except for two girls together, though that seems to have stopped, more or less )

I'd never kiss any Thai lady in public, but most kissed in private.

My Thai wife took me back to her village the day we married, she walked around holding hands and cuddling me.

I said, "we're getting some funny looks, are we supposed to be doing this?"

She replied, "If they don't like it , f#$% 'em"

I distinguished between public and private kissing twice in the relatively brief original post.  I recognized that public kissing was frowned upon and wondered if that affected private behavior.

Because it's not Thai culture not to kiss a person having a relationship with. They just don't do it in public.

I would argue that except for psychopaths, public and private behavior are never entirely different.  But my point was not that.  It was that the sniff kiss was a Thai cultural act.

Way back in the past at University they used to say, "If they don't put out in two weeks, move on"

I've always found that to be a very worthwhile bit of advice.

In the UK,

If they were prepared to share all expenses 50/50, I'd wait for 2 weeks before the 'bang or drop' rule was enforced.

In SEA,

If I'm paying all the expenses on the date, and I don't get to bang them at the end of the date, there won't be a second date.

Yes, better for you just to pay to bang them with an agreed price beforehand upfront  , rather than risking buy them dinner and them not providing you with sex .

Which is why LOS is so brilliant. No longer does one have to wonder if one is going to get lucky after paying for dinner or drinks as one does back in the real world.

I had a female friend that told me how she and her friends went to the pub to get free drinks from all the guys wanting sex, then they would leave- they never had any intention of having sex.

Yes there are, but there is no equivalent of the GF experience that one can have in LOS, unless a multi millionaire.

I was never into short time and would go without if I didn't find an agreeable partner to wake up next to in the morning.

Its sometimes a bit awkward the next morning though , when you have a participation  the next morning , get showered and then go out for breakfast , both a bit hung-over and nothing to say  and both eating quickly to both be on your merry way .

Can see it all over Pattaya the next day

LOL. Haven't been hung over since 1986, and would never have willingly taken a drunk woman to my bed. I'm happy to say that in most cases, my one night partner turned into a holiday GF.

What I can say though, is that if they were not a prospective holiday GF I wasn't buying them breakfast. As for not speaking to each other, I wasn't interested in their opinion on philosophy.

To be on topic, if they didn't kiss, they didn't get breakfast.

No. In my younger years I dated strippers/bar girls in US. When I started to kiss many would say no. I said , why ? You've blown me , fxxxxd me why won't you kiss me? The response was that was business what you paid for. Kissing is intimate and what I reserve for my boyfriend or someone I love.

So in my opinion if she is not kissing/cuddling you at home then she is simply supplying companionship/sex she has been contracted for. Many on this site state that in these young/old relationships each gets what they want. The young/beautiful Thai girls gets security, money , home , car and better life while the older farang gets a young Trophy wife for sex and who can provide affection help to him in his older age.
