Popular Post webfact
"Don't worry about coronavirus!" - Thailand's first virus patient praises Thai doctors for survival Picture: Sanook The first person to be infected with the coronavirus in Thailand has given the thumbs up after she recovered from the deadly new virus. And she has praised Thai doctors and told people not to worry. Jaimuay Sae-ing, 73, was interviewed on the Palang Pracharat Facebook page. The political party has strong links to the government. Sanook reported that Jaimuay fully recovered after spending nine days under the care of a large team of specially chosen doctors and nurses at Nakhon Pathom hospital, a city around 50 kilometers west of Bangkok. Jaimuay had been with younger relatives to the Chinese city of Wuhan, now under lockdown after it was understood to be the epicenter of the outbreak. She was in China from Christmas day until coming back to Thailand on January 3rd. She soon started to feel weak with aches and pains and was admitted to hospital and soon confirmed as having contracted the new virus. She said in her interview that she was cursing her luck at first especially as she was the first case but now she is fine. Pointedly she was quoted as saying: "Don't be worried about coronavirus. I was the first and I recovered and importantly I was treated by up country doctors". Doctors said she was in the hospital during the 14 day incubation period and had already been suffering from the virus for 12 days on admission. There were possible complications due to heart and thyroid conditions and blood pressure difficulties. And bearing in mind that this was a new virus a full team of doctors and nurses was assembled to deal with this case. It was felt that the expertise of the staff at the Nakhon Pathom hospital was sufficient meaning the patient did not need to be transferred to a bigger facility. A psychologist was among the team to deal with the patient's mental health as well as quell the fears of relatives. They were kept well away from their mother and grandmother and could only connect with her via intercom and video link. She had now fully recovered after nine days of treatment. Right, but if lots of people contact this virus and have to be hospitalized, it will be a completely different dynamic. People won't be receiving this kind of care. As China has learned. This is like something straight out of the CCP handbook. Saying that; are even the CCP spouting this kind of narrative anymore? 12 1 3

Popular Post mtls2005
Would be interesting to hear if: she has been released that her viral numbers are near zero that she has been tested for antibodies There have been some reports that viral numbers stay elevated (and thus still able to infect others) for a period after the cessation of symptomatic illness. What kind of treatment will people receive if the numbers go into the thousands? 7
