You do understand, that the political term "communism" or "socialism" were neither coined nor lived in the USSR or GDR or North Korea etc, right ?!

Just because you call a cow a racehorse, will make it win the Kentucky Derby!

And by the way: also, being brought up in the GDR or USSR (or else...) makes you a socialist or a communist.

Neither does it make you a democrat or capitalist, being brought up in West- Germany or the USA (etc).

Again: a cow, being brought up in a horse- sty...and so forth...

You sound really silly with your horse analogy.  I have an undergraduate degree in Political Science and true Communism has never been put forth anywhere and probably never will be.  The point that has been made is that Merkel grew up in East German and her father was a guy who actually left the west and moved to East Germany because he loved the system so much.  Merkel herself doesn't give a dam about the German people as evidenced by her policies.

A fool who calls Merkel a commumist.

Born in Hamburg went with parents (father protestant pastor) to East Germany, where her father worked for the Church.

She is Germany's very popular  leader with high reputation in the World.

You lost the way. It's about former East Germany, not USSR.

Don't worry mate you're not the only one living in the past. ????

So former East Germany was an independent nation in your eyes land of the free and unencumbered by the Soviet Union?

Wow, she must have been very precocious to go to work for the Church. She was actually an infant when her family moved to East Germany. I'm assuming of course that you are referring to Merkel and not her father. Because why would any rational person hold a child responsible for the actions of her father?

Is there anyone who wishes to live in the world, which is ruled by German far right?

Let's see. There are benefits, of course.

- We would all enjoy rather kinky sex stuff

- Most of the people would be engineers

- Loads of new science would happen without restrictions to human testing and such boring stuff

- We would all live our lives, eat breakfast, do sports, read not burned and allowed books

- Our destiny is determined by the collective society of local elders. These are the rules, there is no exemptions

- Work more, produce more, do not play - unless it's the kinky sex stuff to produce more subjects

- Freedom is allowed only for those who are high party members

Now what is it why so many people are so eager to support extreme right views? Don't say, I know. It's the kinky sex. The taboo must be broken.

Here is a wake up call, for all, who drifted so far to the right, that fascists are now somehow the new center: the AfD is a neo-nazi party and it and it's members are oficilally allowed to be called that!

Shame on you!

It's about time too, that people are no longer allowed to abuse the word "fascism" to describe reasonable and rational centrist and centre-right political parties. The political discourse across the EU has been hijacked by an extremist left-progressive cult that seems relaxed about fomenting aggression towards normal mainstream citizens and their traditional and reasonable views. There's a sinister desperation to take over media and education systems, destroy national identities and undermine the family as the core of society, and to turn the world into a febrile crazy place where anyone can be accused of being some kind of blasphemer, pariahised, and where lies become truth. A wake up call:

A lot of laws need to change to shut down this banal, rabid and destructive identity-politics cult.

Shame on you!

It seems like it's the extreme left that is opening the doors to all that... the latest assault on women being the current wokewashing agenda for aggressive transexual activism. It's hard to see anything but extremism amongst the so-called "progressive" aggressive left these days.

It IS the right wing which is doing all that.

But if that is what people want, then that is what people will get. At least we'll get to enjoy kinky sex - at approved times dictated by the central commission.

Tip: Liberal comes from being free. Conservative comes from being pro status quo, aka keeping the power on those, who are above common people.

Are you attending some of these "events" or something? Is there any evidence of what you say?

The communist one? If people are brainwashed, using threats of financial punishment, loss of liberty, being made a pariah, losing opportunity, then they can be conditioned to want any grotesque thing that the mock-liberal elites want to exploit them with, in their quest to deconstruct everything.

Tip: words are often misused to pretend something is true when it isn't, e.g.: "German Democratic Republic", hmm, yeah... conservative (with a small c) to a native-English-speaker may mean what you say, but with a large C, Conservative is just a label for a set of views that can be very radical. The same applies to liberal and Liberal. If you travel to countries like Australia and Canada, the Liberal Party is the conservative party there. The forces that seek to keep power over the common people are ironically usually those that pretend to be doing the opposite, socialists, and all forms of statists, and yes, fascism is a form of statism: all placing the state or the masses above the individual, just like in Animal Farm and 1984, which were books written about socialism and statism, criticising them.

Oh hi 'Daddy'.

No, I'm not attending right wing events. Nor I'm not attending communists ones. Why would I?

I could attend middleground event, but those would be so boring, that I rather not.

That's the problem with the middle ground ideologies. The ideas are so common sense and so boring, that nobody rages for them. Hopefully one day we'll have a people yelling at streets 'We want sensible and doable ideas for our future!'

Thuringia was cursed with years of communist rule by TheLinke, the AfD did a wonderful thing in freeing Thuringia from utterly nutty communist jokers.

If you think a neo-nazi party would be legal in Germany you are hallucinating. And no the NPD is not neo-nazi anymore.

The irony is that Merkel is more of a fascist than anyone and Germany employs mass surveillance and censorship at an Orwellian rate.

I hope Germans are not naive enough to not see what is happening to their country.

It's about the atmosphere and influences she grew up in and anyone migrating to east germany during the cold war is certainly going to be an active communist or sympathizer.  Additionally christian religions were persecuted so don't buy this bs story about her and her family.
