But the "Sugar Burn" vodka based cocktail that a bartender prepared for her resulting in her setting fire to her chin, neck and hair. She went to the police but after failing to get compensation from the restaurant she posted online. Many netizens said she was stupid and should take responsibility herself for her own behavior. But now after the online post the restaurant has agreed to compensate her. Kamonwan, 22, is one of the pretty ladies who advertise and sell beer. She was on a night out with her boyfriend and was being filmed by a younger person. She told Thai Rath that she was already rather drunk from cocktails when a bartender recommended a "Sugar Burn" and prepared it at the table. He said a straw was not necessary, she should just knock it back without sipping. Her boyfriend took a swig but gave up. She was set on fire. In her inebriated state she wasn't immediately sure there was a problem but a check in the toilets revealed what had happened. The bartender said he would compensate her but later it transpired he doesn't have any money. Kamonwan went to the hospital who gave her an initial assessment of the cost. She told Thai Rath at first that she didn't totally blame the bartender but the restaurant have to understand that she is a pretty and might not be able to continue this line of work if she is disfigured. So without compensation she went online both as a warning and in an effort to get some satisfaction. She later called Thai Rath to say that the restaurant - an establishment in the Nai Muang area of the northern Thai city of Phitsanulok - had agreed to compensate her for her medical bills and any loss of earnings. She said that people should be careful when drinking flaming cocktails. Looks like she was a bit inebriated as stated and tipped some on her neck as she tried to throw it back.... her head was tilted back as she tipped it in then you see her neck catch alight. Both dumb as dumb can get, the restaurant for serving stuff like that and her for consuming a "flaming" drink! I think two lessons learnt.... but then again probably not! And so many BMs want to blame her without even knowing if the bartender knew how to make that drink, had made one or many before, ever had someone that was drunk screw it up and get burned.
