Six year old rescued after van rolls into water Picture: MCOT A man taking his six year old grandson to school forgot to put his van in park when he got out to help his wife at a souvenir shop. The van started rolling into water in the area of Saphan Mai Utamanusorn, Sankhaburi, Kanchanaburi in western Thailand. The 53 year old owner of the van heard screams and rushed to the scene. A good Samaritan and a vendor managed to save the child from drowning. The van ended up totally submerged. Picture: MCOT Granddad said that he had parked in the parking lot and turned off the engine. He had left his grandson inside while he got out to help his wife for a few moments. The parking lot was not flat. And he appeared to have left his van in neutral. Swede65
The mother of my children left the kids in the car for a quick errand. When she got out the car wasn't in the parking lot. One of the kids must have been playing with the gearshift, manual gearbox... Just saying...
