GlenTuk
I married my Issan Wife in the UK a few years back, My question is that if i were to move to Thailand to work etc would our UK marriage certificate be recognised as a valid document by the relevant Thai authorities for visa purposes ? ??? sevinnow
Yes a Uk marriage certificate is valid anywhere in the world but my reccommendation is to get it validated before you go: I believe a solicitor has the power to sign and then put an officaill company stamp on it. Check out the facts from your local consulate nearest to you. SEV
wolf5370
You will also probably need to get it translated into Thai - at an official translator's - when in Thailand. You will be asked for it when you extend you visa (assuming you are getting a 'look afetr wifey' visa).
