Blue Book for Thai Wife

Recommended Posts

I'm planning on getting a marriage visa for Laos soon.

One of the requirements is that I take a copy of my wifes blue house book.

We live in Chiang Mai but her mother has her blue book and lives in Tak.

If I get a copy of it will it matter that the address is different from the address we are currently living in?

Or will she need to take the book to the local amphure and update her address to our current address?

In whose name is the house registration book for the residence at which you and your wife live in Chiang Mai?

If your wife gets confirmation that she can get added in the book for her Chiang Mai address, her mother should first get her name deleted on the book in Tak and then the holder of the book in Chiang Mai should get her added in his book.

Many Thais live elsewhere than where they are registered in the House book.

The Thai Embassy aren't concerned and aware of this issue.

A copy of her House book and ID card regardless of where you actually live is sufficient.

Original marriage certificate and copy also required.

Make sure the copies are signed by your wife.

You are aware with the Non Imm O ME Visa entries are for 90 days.

You have to do border runs.

However you can extend each 90 day entry by 60 days at CM Immigration.

If used correctly, you can stay almost 17 months, with only 3 border runs before obtaining a new Visa.

My GF says don't need to delete or add anything. It is all automatic through computer. She has a condo in Bangkok, a House in Bangla Mung, and her mother's house in Sisaket. My daughter went through all the blue books becuase of her schooling in Bangkok, Sisaket, and Chonburi.
