It is far from the monsoon season in the upper reaches of Thailand yet the disastrous start to the new year on so many levels makes it appear that the rain has already started gushing down on the kingdom....and some! The country is in the grip of the mother of all monsoons.

PHUKET: The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) has announced that the electricity supply will be temporarily shut off in parts of Srisoonthorn on Tuesday (Feb 18) as work is carried out on installing new high-voltage cables.

PHUKET: The Deputy Chief of the Kamala Tambon Administration Organisation (OrBorTor), Nopporn Karuna, claims that the black water in the Pak Bang Canal that runs through Kamala is clean after it has been passed through the wastewater-treatment plant that has now been installed across the canal.

Thailand Post increases preventive measures against Covid-19

Forest Department to file charges against MP Pareena over alleged land encroachment

The Royal Forest Department (RFD) will file charges against Ratchaburi member of Parliament Pareena Kraikup of the ruling Phalang Pracharat Party after months of investigation revealed that her Khao Son 2 chicken farm in Rangbua subdistrict in the the Jombeung district allegedly encroached on protected forestland.

Self-screening form offers quick Covid-19 evaluation for people

The National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) joined hands with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) and Department of Disease Control as well as the Ministry of Public Health to create a Covid-19 self-screening form as a tool for people to check whether they have a chance to be infected by Covid-19.
