Harry Gregg R.I.P.

Recommended Posts

In this case the term "hero" is used as it should be used and not just as some sort of label.

I read that he helped save Bobby Charlton and a couple others from the plane wreckage.

R.I.P.

Obviously never watched him at the time, but I am interested to hear what kind of goalkeeper he was from anyone who did? He was Northern Irish, so I guess he might be another Brit who could have walked into the England team, like George Best and Ryan Giggs etc.

RIP.

Mentioned this once before. My old man, He's in his late 80s, reckons that Denis Law before he went to Italy is the best player he's ever seen in a City shirt.

As a young kid my cousin....avid City fan....took me to the pre-season friendly City V Torino (part of Denis,s transfer deal from City to Torino) I was captivated by Denis....when he signed for United in 61/62 that was it for me...now a lifelong Red and Denis will always be my number 1

I'll have to show that photo to my teenage lads and ask what do you notice. Be interesting to see if they spot No gloves!
