A Thai man was attacked and poked fun at over the Covid-19 coronavirus in London, leading to Royal Thai Embassy officials taking him to hospital after he sustained a broken nose, Foreign Ministry spokesman Cherdkiat Atthakor said today (February 17).

Central bank may further cut policy rate to 0.75 per cent

The baht has retreated against the US dollar in recent days, says an analyst at Krungsri Global Markets who expects the central bank to cut its policy rate again to 0.75 per cent from 1 per cent to prop up the declining Thai economy.

Emergency decree in Deep South extended for 3 months
