No one in Thailand has been given 15 years for picking mushrooms.

Click the link why dont you and maybe take a read:

pick mushrooms and get 15 years with 500k THB Bail!!

Read your own link, why don't you?...

"They were later charged with forest encroachment and illegal logging".

They were not charged with mushroom picking.

If he does, if he does anything, he'll do the three years and forfeit the B200,000 bond that's hanging over his head

I hope he does "something" then he can serve the sentence he

should have done, then justice will be served.

In your opinion, as someone who, like everyone here, was not privy to any evidence in the case.

So please enlighten me,what mitigating circumstances were there

that resulted in such a light sentence, after all he did kill someone.

Were you at the court or just what you read or heard like everyone else ?

Sad for the victims to see they are not worthy enough for the judge to hand down a real sentence.....even more tragic for the family of the deceased.  The value of a life is zero unless your well connected.

Did I say that there were any mitigating circumstances?  No, I didn't.   I did say that I wasn't there either, just as you weren't.

If I had to guess, I'd say that it appeared to be an accident, with no contributory intoxication involved, something that, on appeal, was upheld, hence the suspended sentence with the B200,000 bond.

You really need to read up on the case before making any comments,

know the full story, then you can make sense if justice was

served, he was in jail for 28 days.

I have read about the case, and I do know what has been reported; his initial imprisonment was ended as his successful appeal was being heard.

Have an opinion, by all means, but it is not up to anyone here to decide whether it is possible to "make sense if justice was served".

I really do not need you to tell me the basis on which I should be making comments here, thanks.
