Popular Post webfact
U.S. judge rejects Roger Stone's request she be kicked off his case By Katanga Johnson FILE PHOTO: Former Trump campaign adviser Roger Stone departs after he was sentenced to three years and four months in prison for charges that include lying to Congress, obstruction of justice and witness tampering, at U.S. District Court in Washington, U.S., February 20, 2020. REUTERS/Mary F. Calvert/File Photo WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A U.S. federal judge on Sunday denied a request by Roger Stone's lawyers that she be removed from the case in which she last week sentenced the long-time adviser to President Donald Trump to three years and four months in prison. U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson had been accused of bias by Stone's attorneys in a filing on Friday that called for her recusal. Stone, 67, was convicted on Nov. 15 of lying to Congress, obstruction of justice and witness tampering. In a court filing on Sunday, Jackson rejected his lawyers' arguments and defended her impartiality. Trump has also complained about the judge in posts on Twitter. He has said he has no immediate plans to pardon Stone and would let the legal process play out, but that "at some point I'm going to make a determination." In sentencing Stone on Thursday, Jackson said the veteran Republican operative's lies to lawmakers investigating Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election amounted to a threat to American democracy. Stone was convicted of lying to the Intelligence Committee about his attempts to contact WikiLeaks, the website that released damaging emails about Trump's 2016 Democratic election rival Hillary Clinton that U.S. intelligence officials have concluded were stolen by Russian hackers. Popular Post Eric Loh
What a row Judge Jackson had standing up to bully Trump and his crony AG. She handed out prison and jail sentences to Trump’s close aides Manafort, Rick Gates and Alex van der Zwaan, lawyer who worked closely with Manafort and Gates. Trump can’t have his way even with his puppet AG with an independent judiciary. 3 3

So you think it is ok to threaten a judge? You think it is ok to commit perjury? You think it is ok to intimidate witnesses? 8 6

Popular Post Eric Loh
Stone was very lucky to get 40 months sentencing. That crazy stunt threatening the life of Judge Jackson would easily give him a minimum of 10-15 years jail time. The self proclaimed dirty trickster had his moment but the lights dimmed for him now. Deservingly sentenced. 1 3
Popular Post Tug
Roger stone should be thanking the judge for her forgiveness if a regular citizen had done what this jackass did they would be doing away for a long time indeed! 4
