aj73
“It’s quite confusing why a big country [like the US] has allowed some children to write something on their official website. The US might just pretend to be an idiot. However, we don’t want to add anything more to rupture our diplomatic relationship.” He say's he's speaking on behalf of the Thai Government as an "Security Affairs Adviser"? Ok, I can't wait to see the fall-out from the ASEAN Summit in March in DC... Pretty sure Trump won't let a statement like that go without comment. This guy is naive at best, or just fell on his sword for someone, perhaps his real boss the CCP? I'm more interested in seeing if a reporter will bring it up during the Press conference, that would be total comedy, most of Trumps press conferences are pretty hilarious anyway. He has a very indelicate way of handling criticism like this! lmao
Popular Post mtls2005
Under normal circumstances one would meet internaitional/diplomatic criticism with facts, rather than lashing out out at critics with the usual tropes (no one can understand Thais but Thais). That said, given the history since 1932, making a defense based on facts is challenging, so they always seem to fall back to a position based on thin-skin and insecurity. JGV
Stop the pretence THailand is controlled by a military junta - the so called government and the legislature are bound together like right and left hands Democracy is a convenient label with no evidence of any activity that could be construed as such You get the courts to dissolve an oppositional party when youdon't want the population to hear dissent
