And this guy died in USA, not Thailand.

Thailand has confirmed the first death in the country from complications arising from the novel Coronavirus and Dengue fever, a 35 year old Thai man, Deputy Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul confirmed at a press conference moments ago.

The victim is a 35 year old Thai man who previously had been tested on January 27 for dengue fever and health complications.

Wow... that's a bad combination of illnesses to have....

Wonder if the details will suggest he may have contracted the CV while in hospital treatment for the dengue.... or via some other route....

He's been mentioned on here before (one of the later reports from memory although he'd been in hospital a while) doing an autopsy but who knows if we'll ever know the results.

So now, apparently, their "critical" list is down from two to one...

Quote

The Ministry of Health confirmed he was one of two patients who had been mentioned in daily health briefings as in red, or critical, condition.

BTW, I don't think the Thai DDC ever used the term "critical" at least in their EN documents/statements. The understated term they always used AFAIK was "serious."

Poor dude, they kept him alive as long as they possibly could, not a pleasant way to go, weeks in machines.

Well, at least, he won't be around to get hit with any subsequent Thai ICU medical bills....

Still have never heard anything about who footed the bills for the various Chinese cases in Thailand that were confirmed and treated as CV.
