On ext. of stay, need to cover 10 days, visa exempt ok?

Recommended Posts

Here is the situation: for five years I stay on Non-O, multiple entry, based on marriage. Very convenient since I travel out of Thailand frequently. Okay, in January we tried to apply for an extension of stay but one stamp on a paper from the revenue department was missing. So they only gave an extension of stay for two months. My current Extension of stay expires March 13. I fly out of Thailand tomorrow coming back March 3. I again fly out to Germany March 12 (Of course I will have the confirmation of the flight on hand to show to a potentially concerned immigration officer)

So actually I do not really want to apply for a reentry permit since it is a 1000 baht, not that much but still a waste of money, especially if not necessary. In my opinion it should not be a problem to get a visa exemption stamp, am I right?  I mean with all these reports about people getting problems I thought it's a good idea to ask for opinions ????
