‘Linkage centre’ aims to detect virus concealment

The Bangkok granddad who repeatedly denied having been to Japan and turned out to have picked up a Covid-19 infection there has triggered the establishment of a “surveillance data linkage centre” by the Immigration Bureau and Public Health Ministry.

Ministry to hand out face masks to schools nationwide

The Education Ministry will distribute face masks to schools nationwide in an attempt to curb the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19) and protect students from the harmful PM2.5 particulate matter in the air, said Education Minister Nataphol Teepsuwan today (February 27).

International school ordered close after students' trip to high-risk country

Secretary general of Private Education Commission Attapon Truektrong said on Thursday (February 27) that he was informed 505 students and 60 teachers of an international school located in Don Mueang province arrived back on Sunday (February 23) from a school trip to a high-risk country.

PM says military to be downsized and generals reduced by half within 8 years

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha told members of parliament, on the final scheduled day of the censure debate, that the Defence Ministry is determined to reform the military by downsizing the three armed forces to become more efficient and modern, with the aim of cutting the number of generals in half by the year 2028.
