Police in Mae Hong Son are trying to sort out confused testimony about a school shooting on Wednesday night (March 4) that left a teacher and a volunteer severely wounded.

Mok Champae police were summoned to Romklao Pangtong School at about 11pm and found teacher Bunchoo Tamoo and volunteer Ittiphon Moonfong, 57, with gunshot wounds to the legs.

Bunchoo had also been struck on the head with the gun itself.

Police soon after arrested Ittiphon’s son, whose name and age have been withheld, with a .38 handgun inside the vehicle in which he fled the scene.

Another teacher told police that Ittiphon and Bunchoo had an argument that prompted Ittiphon’s son to pull a gun and started shooting Bunchoo.

Investigators have found discrepancies among witnesses’ testimony.

Also discrepancies in the reporting:

My missus cannot even understand the concept of time zones...
I said if it's daytime/daylight here it must be nighttime/dark on the other side of the world..
she asked why?

We must introduce these two  to each other !!!OMG

Last time I returned to Canada my training partners would call me at all hours of the night as it's eastern time where I'm from. They didn't believe me when I said that it was the middle of the night. When I went outside to show them they thought I was playing a trick on them somehow.

To this day I still don't understand haha.

Were you able to explain it clearly to her so she understood?    Is it really about time zones?
