CCTV being widely viewed on Thai social media showed the moment a man stopped to get some hand gel at Saphan Khwai BTS station.

He soon decides to take the whole bottle home with him in his backpack.

The footage was posted on a "Situation and Accident" fanpage on Facebook and caused much negative comment.

As of this morning it had also been viewed 350,000 times on Twitter.

Sanook said that people condemned the man and though some pointed to the shortage and expense of the gel it was a bit much and very antisocial to take it home with you. And, of course, it constituted theft.

looks Chinese.

Don't be racist.

Many northern Thai people actually look Chinese. Many of their ancestors came from China... shocking but true.

That´s low.

Special occasions of distress reveal the true nature of human beings.

How low can one go being selfish individual without being punished is the bar we are aiming at.

It's also good to note that most people did not set their bars that low.

Google it - Settlers mainly from Chaozhou prefecture came to Siam in large numbers. Immigration continued over the following years, and the Chinese population in Thailand jumped from 230,000 in 1825 to 792,000 by 1910. By 1932, approximately 12.2 percent of the population of Thailand was Chinese.

Smart guy : trying it first !

From what I've seen, hardly anyone is using it anyway. How many people is that tiny bottle going to serve?

Wouldn't it work better to have a line of temporary sinks with soap and running water?
