If you get denied for not having the papers asked for, then it´s up to you to provide them. Embassies are cooperating with that right now. If they close down their service, we will have to assume immigration will understand that.

Sincerely hope they will shut down all those disease spreading immigration offices starting 26.03. All immigration workers should be assured that they will be allowed to continue playing their visa games right after the Covid epidemic is taken under full control.

I think it's more likely those applying for extensions are playing games.

 

Extensions are for tourist visas. Why would you want to come for a holiday in Thailand at this time? If you are a tourist you should be returning to your home country asap.

 

Still possible to obtain flights to all major countries.

Don't know about the details of each countries emergency regulations but often in those cases the state can take over necessary facilities for example basic food production and man them with military and government personnel.

Travelling at these times is dangerous. My country embassy has advised me to stay where I am.

I'm here on a multi-entry non-O. My 90 days expire on 5/10. My plan is to convert to annual extension based on retirement but $ won't be mature (2 months in Thai account) until 4/10. Now we have this emergency order coming in which will surely extend beyond 4/10. Do I wait until the emergency order is lifted and hope that happens before 5/10 or jump to an immigration office tomorrow to try something else?  Your thoughts?

Heard from a friend who went to get a ticket today that Thai airways to close on Monday domestic. My daughter works for Thai at BKK and they are having a meeting today of what the airport will do for all areas. As I just saw Philippine and EVA airways are general 99% shut for flights to BKK so things are closing up as it looks. Time to go to the store for some wine and scotch and sit back at home and at least semi enjoy the ride.

The reason is people like you who are ignorant and driven by fear. Zero critical thought or rationality at all.

 

Instead of destroying the world economy, we should be isolating and quarantining the old and sick, while the rest of the world moves on. The hospitals will be able to cope fine without needing to look after all of the aging and sick patients, and the healthy individuals will develop immunities to the virus. The rest need to wait for a vaccine, which will most likely be 14-18 months away. 

 

Look at the actual data instead of just reading headlines and death stats and freaking out like a retard.

 

The median age of death in Italy from covid-19 is 81 years old, which 90% of the deaths being those over 70. I can understand if that scares you as most of you on here are old as <deleted>, but if you are an at-risk group, you absolutely should be isolating and quarantining.

 

The damage done by the political knee-jerk reactions of shutting down the world economy is going to cause FAR MORE harm to FAR MORE people than covid-19 ever could.

Return to your own country and re plan your migration for when this is all over.
