An armed robber stole around 400,000 baht from the Bangkok Bank branch at Tesco Lotus in Na Muang, Muang district of Ratchaburi in central Thailand around 2 pm yesterday afternoon.

Naew Na said that the large man was holding a gun of unknown make and ordered the staff in the branch to remain still.

He was wearing a black cap to hide his face and a jacket.

There were four or five staff in the bank at the time of the heist that took a mere 1 minute 40 seconds.

Following the robbery, the gunman fled in a vehicle waiting by the side of Tesco.

The media said that it looked as though this was a professional robber.

Not much of a professional if he didn't realize this was the perfect time to wear a surgical mask.

I thought it was a cape, not superman then.  Shame that the car will be identified, but then when found it will have been reported stolen, wiped clean, or burned, and there will have been no route taken that would have cameras or video to track them before and after switching vehicles, if they truly were professionals.  However, people always make mistakes and get caught......
