Neither of us know the facts about what was or wasn't requested behind the scenes. The only fact that we know is that Mr Trump will not agree to the US paying for it. An old school friend of mine was a member of the crew on William's air ambulance when it was based in Wales. He said that he and Katherine were genuinely nice, decent people who were surprisingly down to earth.
