Popular Post edwardandtubs
These places started the SARS epidemic and after a brief shutdown were quickly reopened. They then caused the Covid-19 pandemic but the Chinese government hasn't learned its lesson. They've now reopened these markets and another pandemic is inevitable. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8163761/Chinese-markets-selling-bats.html 1 1

spiekerjozef
What strikes me the most.... the SARS epidemic happened in 2003. And nobody ever bothered to produce a vaccine? They say it takes a minimum of 1 to 1.5 years for a vaccine to be ready and safe for use for humans. Well, 17 years and no vaccine for SARS?? And with Covid-19 so close to SARS.... If the pharmaceutical industry did their job, we would have never heard of Covid-19.

You'd like the media to be controlled by the government like in China would you? Mailonline is the world's most widely read English language news website so if this article was inaccurate the Chinese government would be screaming for an apology by now but there's not a word from them.
Popular Post GinBoy2
This is a story that continue to repeat itself. I was living in Shanghai during SARS. The markets shut down, then as soon as it was over, opened straight back up. The video's that you see online don't actually come close to the true nastiness of these places when you see them in the flesh. Walk around a wet market and all you want to is have a shower when you get home they are so awful. Until the Chinese have a cultural shift with regard to this, history I guarantee you will repeat itself 5

And with Covid-19 so close to SARS.... If the pharmaceutical industry did their job, we would have never heard of Covid-19. They did try. In 2004 they made a vaccine. Gave it to test mice and they produced antibodies. All good. They then have them SARS. They all died horribly. It happened yonks ago with human tests on another virus on children when all the kids given it died horribly. That one passed animal tests. The issue was an over reaction where the immune system kills you. You die horribly in pain. With some viruses you can't create vaccines. That was SARS-COV-1. SARS-Cov-2 its cousin may also be hard or impossible to make a vaccine for. We simply don't know. Edited March 30, 2020 by Nemo.

Surprised they haven't come up with a wonder drug like "TamiFlu" remember that massive con job! from the home of CC
it's already in the loop, this virus will return probably every 6 months like the flu, don't matter who eats what until there's a vaccine..

Even the 'common' annual flu vaccination is 'adjusted' yearly to counter the strain that's predicted by ongoing research to be most prevalent during the coming flu season. Influenza isn't the same as SARS which isn't the same as MERS which isn't the same as Covid-19 which won't be the same as the next one. I think "wet" markets will probably be eradicated.China will be forced to do so as will,of course,Thailand and neighbouring states. However,I am sure that there was no Daily Mail team in Wuhan either yesterday or today. My neighbours eat lizards, grasshoppers, bugs of indeterminate description and maggots. Snow Leopard
My issue is this. Most countries after this is over should seriously look at their essential needs as a country. These items need to be produced and stock piled domestically. When global supply chains break down or more to the point when the country producing the essential items needs it for istelf then its game over for the wanna be purchaser. The only way to punish China is to kick it in the nuts, financially. Sadly i cannot see this happening. No one believes what China says. Their economy is teetering on the edge of financial collapse and has been for some time. A swift kick right now would finish them financially and then the ordinary people inside China would do the rest and end the rule of the CCP. Brilliant post! I once was part of a team that studied a cholera epidemic north of Mumbai..same sort of scenario. My Thai family still ate off the common plate and passed those plastic bags of coke around willy nilly when I met them. However they are learning..
