dayward1
I'm just curious, does anyone here know anyone that has, had, or has shown symptoms of this flu? Obviously, I don't know millions of people, but I do know a few. Of all the people that I know, and the people that they know, no one has it, or if they have they didn't know it. My family and I may have had it back in early January. High temps, diarrhea, not able to drink a sip of water without vomiting; all for about 3 days.

ThailandRyan
I did, and unfortunately she was one of the early deaths in Sacramento California. She was a teacher to all three of my children growing up......sad times.
evadgib
I have long suspected that the annual poleaxing usually associated with the influx of Xmas & NY arrivals from Europe & elsewhere may have done exactly as you have described; furthermore an elderly relative in UK was hospitalized with 'pneumonia' in Jan but I suspect the virus was active there long before they knew it too. Thankfully my relative made a full recovery and has since turned 90.

Popular Post GeorgeCross
well according to the TVF armchair epidemiologists there are thousands and thousands of positive cases that haven't been tested yet so someone must know someone who actually has it? anyone? 2
cmsally
My friend and her son probably had it , but couldn't get tested. This was in UK. Another friend in UK said 4 of her friends have it (ie . tested as having it). She said only normally tested if you are high risk or hospitalised. In my view you need to do massive testing to control it and also massive antibody testing in anyone recovered / think they have recovered from it. Only then can you control it and get useful data to see how it spreads.
Popular Post ben2talk
My wife's factory - there was a fuss over an infected foreigner from Singapore who was working in the office, now he's at home online, they also had 7 confirmed cases and closed down two sections, sending the staff home and cleaning up - then they banned any talk on the subject, so now she has NO idea. This news is 2 weeks old - nothing new came out after that (meaning it's hidden, this factory turns over a huge amount of money). Also staff believe there will be no pay if they close even for a couple of weeks. 2

Popular Post Berkshire
I do not know one family or friend who has it. We've all "heard" of people in the village or a friend of a friend. But none that I personally know. This is in the USA and Thailand. Strange. 1 1
Popular Post Millian
The Mrs currently has it. She felt unwell on Monday 16th, worse on the 17th when the fever came and went for a test on the 18th at Chulalongkorn hospital. Came home and self isolated till the result came back on afternoon of the 19th. I also stayed away from work on Thursday waiting for the results. The test was negative. She stayed indoors the next day or so as was still feeling under the weather. Saturday was complaining her sense of smell had gone, was very lethargic and Feet felt numb. Then Sunday morning awoke with terrible pains all over, so went back to Chulalongkorn hospital. Had to be put in a wheel chair as to much effort to walk. Had the chest x-ray and was admitted after having the consultation with the Dr before getting the results of the 2nd covid test as was clearly ill and the chest x-ray showed lung infection. Monday morning the 2nd test was positive. Stayed in isolation at the hospital, but not in ICU and not on a ventilator. Although 2nd day another sick lady joined her in the room. Condition was up and down the next 3 days, but Thursday showed improvement. They did another test, but said she could go home and should isolate for 4 weeks weather this third test is negative or not. Currently holed up in the bedroom, with me leaving food outside the door. Test came back, still positive. I was originally advised only to get tested if I had symptoms, although on the Monday night was told to get tested on the Tuesday as high risk of infection. Mine came back negative 24hrs later. Another person in my Mooban has also tested positive. 16

Popular Post Inepto Cracy
Yes I had it. Chest X Ray and blood tests came back from BKK positive. First sign I had, was, that I lost my voice. This was just after new year and it was not taken that seriously at first. I recon that I caught the virus either in Dubai, or on the flight back to Phuket, or at the Toyota dealership on Phuket. Quarantined at home for 28 days. I slept about 16 hours a day. I have since fully recovered. I was only tested because I am a very high risk patient, T1 diabetic on insulin, heart attacks and have cancer. But I fought back with prayer and anti virals. 5
DrTuner
Yes, heard of a probable first one that I know in Thailand yesterday. The usual symptoms. Location in Chiang Rai, she's got a clothes shop and goes for supply runs in BKK every few weeks.

cooked
Our rural village in Isaan: lady comes back from Bangkok, told to stay inside for 14 days. Everybody in the village knew about it. So she walks around, talks to the lottery seller, that has to have dialysis regularly, haven't seen him for a bit, goes to the small daily market at the train station where the vendors wait before taking the train into town. Said lady was collected in an ambulance a day later. Seven days later a 70 year old neighbour got ill and tested positive, she used to sit with the lottery seller. In hospital now. Not sure what happened with the train station link, those ladies come from all over the place. Apparently we were sanitised from the air last night, didn't hear it. Oh, and wash your hands: no tap water for two days now, great timing. Water tanks empty, reservoir very low.

If no dry cough, loss of sense of smell or tight chest, unlikely to have been Covid-19. Some Covid-19 do have gastric issues but it is not the lead role, so to speak. At least you know or are searching for what is going on and the real reasons for all the hype. Thank you. Also: 99% of Italian virus deaths have been confirmed as due to other existing diseases. As of 18th March, 2020, COVID-19 is no longer considered to be a high consequence infectious diseqses (HCID) in the UK. - official UK Government paper. 6 weeks before the outbreak in China, there was a simulation of a virus pandemic - coincidence!!!!!!!! Look up "Event 201" Doctors and scientists are now starting to speak out about the scam. All this information is readily available if you wish to check it out, or perhaps most of you prefer to continue keeping busy spreading the lie and frightening everyone. The Nuremberg Law states that frightening people has a death sentence! Ok, you get your troll salary or what ever inducement you get for spewing such nonsense. You give no reference for the government paper in the UK. Not a big surprise. Anyone can say that. China has simulations of epidemics (not pandemics as if it is only in China it is not a pandemic) all the time. I have yet to hear about any credible scientist or doctor speak out about what you call "the scam." The only scam I see here is you.
