snoop1130 Posted March 30, 2020 Share Posted March 30, 2020 27 Metropolitan Police Bureau officers infected with Covid-19 By THE NATION Pakapong Pongpetra Twenty-seven Metropolitan Police Bureau officers have contracted Covid-19, while another 326 were ordered to undergo self-quarantine, bureau commissioner Pol Lt-General Pakapong Pongpetra revealed today (March 30). “According to an inspection, most policemen who contracted the virus either visited Spain or attended a boxing stadium event in Bangkok or had a meal with an infected person,” he said. The commissioner dismissed a rumour that a policeman from Taling Chan station contracted Covid-19 at a checkpoint. He has ordered six officials related to the patient to go into self-quarantine for 14 days. Taling Chan police station and nearby areas have already been sterilised. “Police checkpoints in Bangkok are being sterilised on a regular basis to assure officials and people about their safety,” he said.
