Study from the WHO. Airborne spread has not been reported for COVID-19.

17) You will not discuss the specifics of prostitution. Though Thailand has a visible sex industry, and acknowledgement of that fact is not forbidden, ThaiVisa is not the place to seek or give information on this topic, regardless of your sexual habits, preferences or orientation.

Bangkok is still waiting for a full lockdown. Most offices are still open and people still going to work.  I would expect moving to a full lockdown soon, then Immigration will have to close.

I don't think that they will ever close immigration.  It maybe their only income from tourists

Payments have to be made to those who help others to break the law by not enforcing it.

If Thailand would have stopped Chinese people from entering the Kingdom, there wouldn't be huge numbers of infected people.

These people brought the virus straight from Wuhan and Thais let them travel until March.

Shouldn't there be rolling heads now???

On 13 January, the Ministry of Public Health announced the first confirmed case, a 61-year-old Chinese woman who is a resident of Wuhan. She had not visited the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market, but was noted to have been to other markets. She developed a sore throat, fever, chills and a headache on 5 January, flew directly with her family and a tour group from Wuhan to Suvarnabhumi Airport on 8 January, where she was detected using thermal surveillance and then hospitalised. Four days later she tested positive.[19][20][2]

Thailand's second case occurred in a 74-year-old woman who arrived in Bangkok on a flight from Wuhan on 17 January.[21] On 21 January, Nakornping Hospital reported a suspected case of a 18-year-old male patient who arrived in Chiang Mai from Wuhan with a high fever; his blood samples were sent to King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital in Bangkok for further analysis.[22][23] His condition had improved according to an official statement released by Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital on 31 January.[24]

On 22 January, the MOPH announced two additional confirmed cases. The third was a 68-year-old man, a Chinese tourist as in previous cases.

The fourth case was the first case for a Thai citizen; a 73-year-old woman hospitalised at Nakhon Pathom Hospital [th] in Nakhon Pathom Province, arriving from Wuhan.[25][26]

Lets wait and see how long it takes for Thailand to start allowing the Chinese back in after things get back to normal. I bet they don't even wait that long as lots of expats and tourist have now gone forced out by ridiculous immigration issues,

the unique Pattaya expat, that strong individualist, that rush in where angels fear to tread, with their Vin Diesel and I just got out of prison looks are standing up to the virus.

we here in Hua Hin are washing our hands every time we walk from one room to another.

I would wash too if we had any water flowing in Kamphaeng Phet

Just got to Thailand a few day earlier, that's all, there is no way of stopping this thing one can only slow down the spread.

There's at least 1 'quarantine camp' in Ubon. They are an open holding area for the transients to serve out their 14-day quarantine. It looks like each province can take its own preventative measures and precautions.

They are doing what central government wont.  They have more control...                       sad

Interesting statistics, all the countries that wore masks, Singapore, Korea, japan have flattened the new infection curve.

Interesting statistics, that all the countries in that list were the early birds in the COVID-19 infections, and have reached the peak already, and are now flattening the curve as will happen with every country about 3 - 4 weeks after they start reporting multiplying of infections.

Even if they have reached their peak already, the peak is lower, Why didnt those countries rise and then peak the same as no mask countries ?

Because there are many reports that the Europe strain is a mutation of the Asian strain?

Will there be a differentiation of foreigners once the border are re-opened? Chinese allowed in OK but Farang cannot?

First of all I'm not your personal google assistant, but I anyway offer you 3 different and credible links that there are several mutations, if you promise to go away.

And a HUGE number in those countries did not wear masks when it kicked off. Euro-corona is likely a more virulent strain, while Asians in general may be less susceptible. Too many variables to attribute transmissions rates to one thing.

The Curve will start to flatten in a few weeks.

Hang in there TV posters.

My prediction is less than 10,000 infected and just a few hundred dead here in Thailand before we return to normal as China is doing presently.

Feel better now.  You are all welcome.

P.S., we will have to continue social distancing, wearing masks, and washing our hands for the rest of our lives!????????
