I don't like nit-picking but u seem quite skilled in the art, so let me tell u when I visited my local hospital last wednesday, I interacted with just 4 people.

The nurse at the desk who asked why I had come, and took my particulars.

The doctor in his room who asked why I had come. He typed a prescription for me on his computer.

The girl at the pharmacy window who game me my subscription.

The girl at the finance window who took my money.

This hospital has free-standing machines for height, weight, waist size and BP.

I did not require a porter as I wasn't on  a stretcher or wheel chair bound.

I did not visit the emergency room

But you are nit picking.

I answered the original poster with the knowledge of what happened to me after I went to the hospital about 2 months ago after a bad fall.

It was in a general sense and not person specific.

I am a little confused by your response.

1   I understand the nurse at the desk

2   how many staff in total were in the registry office?

3   how many staff in total were in the pharmacy?

4   how many staff in total were in the finance office?

I can also understand that you

not require a porter as I wasn't on  a stretcher or wheel chair bound and did did not visit the emergency room.

However many people do visit other departments and use other assistance.

I would think all hospitals  by now have a prescreening area to triage and send any suspect cases to the protected staff.  We need a low cost 15 minute test badly.  Speaking of tests and vaccines.   What % will refuse  vacation?

My niece is a doctor in Germany, and the patients can tell them what they want.

Patients are treated as they could carry the virus, not what a patient tells them.

 That shouldn't be different here.

Do we know if the staff at the hospital had all the right PPE stuff ?

This story is connected to exactly why following, as carefully as possible, all the protocols suggested is vital to saving lives ... both your and mine. Saying and acting as though half-wearing of masks or no wearing at all is somehow 'cool' or brave' or that because of 'magical thinking' you are immune is both self and other completely irresponsible!
