One-time use! I have used the same one for 2 weeks now. Why? Because every time I try to buy I get the same answer "no have" Not one shop but every shop I try. I am thinking of buying a sterilizer machine, only solution I can think of.

Responding to reports of the ministry stocking up 200 million face masks, he said the news was wrong and it was a mistake in communication.

Why doesn't the ministry keep it's nose out of the face mask manufacturing business.

Let them make them, distribute them as normal.

As soon as they got involved shortages started showing up everywhere.

Hmmmm, miscommunication yet again. So we either need to 1) rewrite and simplify the entire Thai language, or  2) accept that the country is lead by a bunch of incompetent/dishonest buffoons. Hmmmm, tough choice.

I wear my face mask for a day and when returning home I put it in the Microwave oven for 30 seconds and wear it again the next day.... NO VIRUS could survive 30 seconds cooking in a Microwave.........

hmm, maybe.

Most masks have metal clips or nose bands ... be careful they cannot arc against frame of microwave!

This article seems sensible ...

https://www.livescience.com/sanitizing-medical-masks-for-reuse-coronavirus.html

and lists some common methods.

<extracts>

"All of the methods used were believed effective for destroying coronaviruses, they wrote, but not all of them were good ideas."

"However, they wrote, "70 C / 158 F heating in a kitchen-type of oven for 30 min, or hot water vapor from boiling water for 10 min, are additional effective decontamination methods."

<end extracts>

Maybe toss a couple of masks in with the dumplings?

GREAT INFO......... Thank for this, very helpful.....

Recycling for our own use is not as critical as recycling for other folks use.

And The 'dumplings' are a great idea. GET 2 Birds with ONE shot...... (BOGO - Buy One - Get One)

WHO  says the masks are useless.

(World health organisation not Roger Daltrey)

They're not saying that any longer. Now suggesting everyone to wear a mask.

Wouldn't surprise me though ...

(a) typical advice from a gangster

(b) great merchandising opportunity ... MAGA masks etc

(c) lots of his base are going to want to get anonymous soon
