snoop1130
Curfew in Nonthaburi: People told to stay indoors from 11pm The governor of Nonthaburi province has issued an order requesting people stay indoors between 11pm and 5am. In the order, released on Tuesday evening, governor Suchin Chaichumsak asks members of the public to cooperate by staying at home. The only exception to the order are transportation services or nighttime workers. The order goes into effect on Tuesday 31 March until further notice. The governor said it was necessary to impose the curfew as there are still people who have failed to comply with the restrictions put in place by officials in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Meanwhile, Sanook reported that ‘teenagers’ had been regularly congregating outside convenience stores despite being told not to. The order is only for Nonthaburi province and at the time of posting does not include any other area of Bangkok or the neighbouring provinces. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2020-03-31 Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates

The announcement, which took effect from today (March 31) until further notice, was made by Governor Sujin Chaichumsak and approved on March 30 by the Nonthaburi Communicable Disease Committee. The order exempts vehicles transporting goods or those who have to work during the period or those who need to venture out of their homes due to urgent necessity. DrTuner
As the reason is predictable, people not complying, it's just as predictable this will happen everywhere else too. For those that have been asking "but where are all the infected, no signs at the hospitals": Quote According to the announcement, the number of infected cases in the province has risen rapidly. If the situation is allowed to continue, the number of patients could rise beyond the capacity of hospitals to handle them, it warned. Therefore, this new measure is needed to stem the worsening situation. That'd be the sign. Edited March 31, 2020 by DrTuner
