Some 2,352 virus patients died yesterday, up 563 in a day. Unless you have immediate family back in U.K that you want to be with, better off staying in Thailand. mstevens
Some real horror stories of the fares people are paying to get home....but best to pay them and get home because as fewer an fewer flights operate, one imagines fares are just going to get pricier and pricier!

If you are currently here you can self isolate , the safest option for reducing the chances of getting infected. On a crowded airplane , sitting with hundreds of other people in very close proximity , not knowing if any of them might already have covid19 I would think the risk of infection is higher than if remaining in isolation here. 13 8

I didn't mean like that, I meant thinking one country was safer than another. Being in your home country also give a certain amount of peace of mind I actually think it will be really bad here and the care/attitude towards foreigners will slump 4

Having worked at an Embassy many years ago (though not in the Consular Section), I still find it unbelievable that so many people in general, and TVF members in particular, believe that the Embassy's main role is to be a mummy to everyone who is as irresponsible as possible and who IMHO, should never have left the home shores. I can imagine the hate mail that will surely follow, but after reading the constant barrage for many years, I had to have my say. 6 1

Jesus wept, another who believes the Thai figures. How difficult is it for people to get through their thick skulls that if you don't test then you don't find out the true figures Thailand has only been testing about 500 per day! Also people here are scared to death to post anything on social media as the army will be round to ship them off to the gulag Edited April 2, 2020 by Canuck1966 5 1

U.K doesn't test people either, plenty getting sent home with obvious symptoms and no tests done.. I'm sure every one of those countries in the table above has many more cases than reported, just not enough test kits available... 1
