MOSCOW (Reuters) - Vladimir Savelyov, a Russian stuck on an island off Thailand, is among 25,000 Russian nationals stranded far from home because of myriad restrictions on transport imposed over the coronavirus.

(Reuters) - IAG-owned British Airways <ICAG.L> is expected to announce suspension of about 36,000 of its employees, BBC News reported on Wednesday.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Navy on Wednesday did not rule out punishing the captain of the aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt, who wrote a scathing letter to Navy leadership asking for stronger measures to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Pentagon is looking to provide up to 100,000 body bags for use by civilian authorities as the coronavirus outbreak worsens in the United States with a high death toll expected in coming weeks.

Covid-19 video: Russian/Thai couple fear for their lives after hospital send them home with high fever

A couple just back to Thailand from Russia went to the media to complain after they contacted a hospital in Chonburi and despite having a high fever were sent home with some paracetamol and cough medicine.
