The government might take recourse to a 24-hour curfew within a week if the number of Covid-19 patients kept rising.

Just announce non-essential movements are banned.

If you're out & about you'd better have a good reason!

How, pray tell, can a nation that mostly feeds itself by a daily shopping trip, stay in under 24 hour curfew ?
We are in Thailand, not La-La Land.
Bring it on !

I once went a day without moaning. But today was not that day!

Huh? We stocked up for one month or even more. Not difficult to do. Maybe once every 7-8 days we get some more fresh veggies from sellers behind our village.

Obviously another well thought out idea from the powers that be. You can't fix stupid. It would not surprise me if we end up with soldiers on the street with road blocks.

it looks like Australia (now the land of panic) is going to do just that, do not know if orders to shoot are going with that yet

How does a 24 hour curfew work? How are people supposed to get food and other essential items?

Serious question

Common sense. For food you need a note to yourself, time and date and you have an hour or two to buy it.

It is going to get worse guys - Thailand numbers can onyl go one way.

If you are not ready yet, then get ready - 24 hour curfew is probably coming - dont wait too long.

But the big issue is will that result in riots if it is in place for too long - and what then.

For now - be ready for up to 2 weeks being stuck inside - just in case.

Someone posted that another Immigration center was opened in Muang Thong Thani, Does anyone have a address? I have been staying here a couple months, its really nice. My room is full furnished and big, and i get very good price with a monthy rent. Its like a new Future city, all walking distance, all new buildings and very clean. Also, do all immigration places have access to copy machines? Thanks in advance!

What on earth can BANKERS possibly have to do that urgent or important between 10 pm and 4 am ?????????

There are thousands of jobs in the banking sector that are 24 hours; International banking, tax matters, 24-hour customer support, computer programming, system updates and on and on. That doesn't mean people who work in your local branch.

Riculous, you think that 2 months later the virus will spread ?

It's clear that nothing will happen and that no curfew is needed.

As crazy as:- You decide?

What happens when 90% of the media is controlled/owned by (6) corporations?

What happens when those same corporations are operated and controlled by a political ideology?

What happens when the news is no longer free from bias?

What happens when the news is no longer reliable and independent?

What happens when the news is no longer trustworthy?

What happens when the news simply becomes an extension/arm of a political party?
Fact becomes fiction?
Fiction becomes fact?

When does news become propaganda?

Wow thank you so much; you have just called out all of America's leftist media groups................congratulations

usually its only allowed out to get food, medicine plus 1 exercise session

exclusions: essential workers, emergencies

AND visits to Immigration. Immigration have shown they're not interested in the current situation and still insist on long stay foreigners doing extensions of stay etc.

Was china only lettinv people go do shopping once a week?

And only letting 1 person from a household out at a time?

Something along them lines is probably what the 24 hour lockdown means.

Groceries were delivered in Wuhan. I saw a documentary about it last night. One member of each family at a time was allowed to go to a gate where delivery people put the bags of groceries with the family name under the gate. Everything paid in advance through mobile apps or Internet.

Anti-parasitic drug kills COVID-19 in lab.

Both Ivermectin (lice/scabies etc) and Chloroquine (Malaria) are drugs that attack parasitic infections. For whatever reasons it looks like anti-paratitic medications help.  But do they kill the virus, or do they help the system by removing parasitic infections caused by the virus. Either way it sure is good news to hear.  Besides the numbers reducing, the best way to get the world back to normal is the creation of a vaccine or the discovering of medications that will heal the patients infected.

It has zero chance of improving within one week , they should take a close look at how other countries are doing and act accordingly but a 24 hr lock-down is just ridiculous . The numbers will keep rising because people just kept ignoring social distancing as well as Thai returning from infected countries and spreading the virus .

Which countries would you recommend to copy? Ok

They said: "a 24-hour curfew "was" still an option". But they decided to go for the 10pm-4am curfew.

You know you can freeze milk ????

Have you tried drinking milk that's been froozen? I guess not. You can use it for cooking and baking, and a splash in your coffee or tea works fine.

Just Saw in the paper we can not name or link to a write up titled "Coronavirus curfew term likely to be extended"

It says that the period may increase to 8, 10, 12 or even more hours," Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam said on Friday to clarify doubts over the night-time curfew intended to halt the spread of coronavirus.

In the fridge paprika, leek, green beans, potato, bok choi, broccoli, carrot all easy last a week or even 2.

Green mango's also last 2 weeks in the fridge, jackfruit peeled 5 days, and so on.....

If you have a good refrigerator (our is inverter which seems to make a difference) and follow the recommendations for the settings in the manual, then veggies and fruit should last 15-20 days. We have tomatoes and celery  as well as apples that are going on almost 30 days and is still fresh.

Be quiet. Listen. See my posts - I also think it is a massive over-reaction:

BUT the issue is the clampdown inside Thailand. The Junta will go 'full-monty Wuhan China' response if the numbers keep going up in Thailand.  The numbers will keep going up because they left the doors open for a month longer than the rest of the world. Therefore, it is likely there will be a clampdown 24 hour like in Wuhan - get prepared just in case.

'nothing will happen and no curfew is needed' - could be totally wrong IMO - get ready in case it happens.

other countries?...like China maybe?  ...and Italy, Spain, USA, UK, Australia, South Africa maybe...all have and have overtaken the number of Thailand cases long ago. Which countries have succeeded so far...and exactly how did they do it?

Make Hydroxychloroquin available for sale at pharmacies! It's a prophylactic to covid19. Hydroxychloroquine and azithromycine have had a 98% success rate of cure in USA. The media for political purposes are being slow to shout this from the rooftops! It's an old Malaria drug been in use for decades, not dangerous nor addictive. Wake up Thai bosses!
