Thai Red Cross seeks plasma donations from cured Covid-19 patients

The Thai Red Cross Society is inviting patients who have recovered from Covid-19 to donate plasma, which can inhibit severe pneumonia and will be helpful in treating patients with severe Covid-19.

Currently, the National Blood Centre accepts plasma donations from people who have already recovered. Those wishing to donate plasma must be asymptomatic Covid-19 patients, discharged from the hospital, detained at home for 14 days and healthy.

"The organisation invites patients who have recovered from Covid-19 to donate plasma to help build immunity in weaker patients. Your plasma is a magic drug with enormous value and cannot be obtained anywhere. It can be obtained only from once-infected and recovered patients," a statement said.

Interested parties may contact National Blood Centre, Thai Red Cross, Tel 0 2256 4300, 0 2263 9600-99 (on official working days).

I'm 58 I would love to donate but I'm too old,but only too old in Thailand, they need to address this.

Are you a cured Covid-19 patient? I don't see any mention that being 58 is too old to donate cured Covid-19 blood.
