Popular Post CanadaSam
Guys, this corona virus kills 1-2% of people, MAX. There have been viruses recently that killed 35-40% of people (MERS). The only difference is the transmission rate, the really dangerous ones have been stopped because of low infection rates, with timing involved. This corona seems to be a really infectious one, affecting everybody, and no lockdowns have worked so far. So, 1 guy out of 1 hundred will die. And in fact, the old and sick. Do we really need to worry all that much about it? 1 3 5

Popular Post nausea
Agree, that's life. It's a Darwinian thing, survival of the fittest and all that. The more we rely on artificial aids the more devastating the real thing will be. And this is just a precursor. We have developed a society where the weak and the old can survive, and many of them give us significant benefits, Stephen Hawkings being an example. But this thing, where stupid, middle class, genetically weak, kids enter positions of power, based purely on money and psychopathy, ain't so good. Ha! 1

Popular Post Brewster67
The MSM keeps publishing FAKE NEWS... Look how often they use the term 'tested positive for Covid-19'.... The tests are NOT showing Covid-19, they are showing 'coronavirus'.... Cold and flu will also show coronavirus present. the Covid-19 testing requires a pathology lab examination of the sample and they are NOT being done. My niece works in the path lab in a Colchester, UK Hospital, and she says they are not even testing fellow staff let alone the public. The vast amount of deaths being blamed on Covid-19 are just not true, the overwhelming majority of deaths are very old people who have 2,3 or 4 health conditions and their immune systems are shot to bits and they were always going to die the next time they caught a cold or flu. Even the chief professor of epidemiology at Oxford University has come out and said the figures are alarmingly massaged, her and dozens of doctors and scientists in the virology field are all saying the same... the figures are being falsified. IT'S ALL A SCAM..... WAKE UP! 1 1 1

Do we really need to worry all that much about it? Well you don't, you can stay in your shallow bubble, but it also effects the young, e.g. I have a 5 year old daughter who, if infected could pass, do I need to worry about that, hell yeh, I am turning 60 come August, am reasonably fit and not overweight, however have hypertension and high cholesterol, all being managed by medication after I had a stent inserted back in 2008, so I have a preexisting condition, do I need to worry, hell yeh. Your 1 guy out of 1 hundred could be a child under 5 or someone not so old, so it doesn't really effect the old and sick. I dare say, one day you will get there, perhaps your thinking will change then ?

IT'S ALL A SCAM..... WAKE UP! In Madrid the Ice Ring was turned into a Morgue after Covid-19 swept through the city with efficient devastation, if those people were going to die anyway we would see the same seasonal ‘jumps in mortality’ with seasonal influenza and colds - We don’t see this huge jump in mortality in anything other than such epidemics and pandemics. Thus, many Spanish will disagree with your comments that people who died were going to die anyway. Some obviously were, but its becoming clear that the contributing factor in the death of many is Covid-19 and those who may have had complicating factors (such as Diabetes, Asthma etc) were not ‘going to die anyway’.

But its not just the 1 in 100... its the other 14% (reportedly) who suffer extreme worse than flu symptoms and 5% who only survive because they have been placed on a respirator... So.. once all those respirators are in use, those who need them will likely die... so your 1 in 100 could become 5 in 100 quite quickly without any control measures. I still can’t believe people struggle with this.

It is unfortunately the type of post that your post warrants because of the lunatic conspiracy theories being bandied about by folks who need to think for themselves. Get a grip that this is a pandemic, people are getting very sick and dying and it is affecting all ages. The 5G conspiracy theory as well also needs to be put away, there is no illuminati, and there is no world wide take over being conducted.......now .........please stop worrying. Some obviously were, but its becoming clear that the contributing factor in the death of many is Covid-19 and those who may have had complicating factors (such as Diabetes, Asthma etc) were not ‘going to die anyway’. In Spain almost half of those who died of Covid were over 80 (46.3%). Almost 20 percent of those who died were over 90 (19.4%). 20.1% of those who died were between 70 and 79. Going to the 60-69 age group the number of fatalities goes down to 8%. Fatalities under the age of 60 are smaller still, 6%. https://www.elconfidencial.com/tecnologia/2020-03-25/coronavirus-espana-fallecidos-edad-italia_2516359/ So the figures do not support your argument. It's not just "some". It's not just "some". The vast majority of those who died were of an age where they would have been expected to die of other causes anyway. A valid point... But that then begs the question - If someone who dies as a result of complications due to Covid-19 was ‘probably’ going to die anyway within the next 12 months - should that be counted as a death related to Covid-19? Bob is 82 years old, Bob is healthy. Bob knows something is probably going to ‘get him sooner or later’ he’s hoping to live a good number more years but you never know. Bob contracts Covid-19 and dies. But he was going to die sooner or later anyway right? We are all going to die sooner or later, but those who are dying through Covid-19 related illnesses are still dying prematurely because of Covid-19. So... when is it considered that Covid-19 had a significant impact on someones death - we’re all going to die at some point right? but we could live much longer. A friends mother is unwell - she has a heart problem, my friend is convinced that if she contracts Covid-19 she will certainly die, otherwise she probably has a good few years left in her. The same friends father had a lung transplant - he lived a further 11 years before a lung infection caught hold and he ultimately passed away a couple of years ago - Covid-19 would very possibly have prematurely killed him too. These anecdotal stories are presented to point out the human side behind these numbers. Because someone has an underlying condition or because they are 80 it doesn’t mean their time is borrowed and they were going to ‘die anyway’ - in many (most?) of the cases if they had not caught Covid-19 they would still be alive now, they died prematurely because of Covid-19 and not because of the ‘other complication’ they had. I want to respond to this separately: The vast majority of those who died were of an age where they would have been expected to die of other causes anyway... OK, sure.. but within what time frame? It seems some of us are trying to rationalise premature death. If they [the aged deceased] were probably going to die of ‘something’ (statistically speaking) within the next 6 months and Covid-19 takes them this month, is that acceptable? If they [the aged deceased] were probably going to die of ‘something’ (statistically speaking) within the next 5 years and Covid-19 takes them this month, is that acceptable? Obviously its easier for a family to handle it if their loved one was on the last legs dying of cancer and Covid-19 took them out. But what about 80 year old Grandpa down the road who’s still pottering around his garden? 5

Obviously for the individual affected and their family it is always too early. However, taking a cold blooded look at the life expectancy then....but then you're not denying that, you are putting a very intelligent face on it. I do not dispute that it is tragic for the family and the individual. Perhaps this should take precedence. However, the other side of the coin is the transplant that gets cancelled, the lung operation that is cancelled, because beds are requisitioned for Covid. We probably won't get numbers for that. 2
