Thai military prepares COVID-19 field hospitals and accommodation just in case

The Thai Ministry of Defence has ordered the three armed forces to make space available for the setting up of field hospitals, and to prepare personnel to assist, should number of new COVID-19 infections overwhelm the current health system.

Don Mueang set to seek bidders for renovating passenger terminal

PHUKET: Kamala Police have arrested seven French tourists at a house in Kamala for violating the Emergency Decree by holding a gathering and for illegal possession of hookahs, called “baruku” in Thailand.

MILAN (Reuters) - Italy reported its lowest daily COVID-19 death toll for more than two weeks on Sunday as authorities began to look ahead to a second phase of the battle against the new coronavirus once the lockdown imposed almost a month ago is eventually eased.

(Reuters) - New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said on Sunday he believed there needed to be a mass rollout of rapid testing in order to achieve a "return to normalcy" after the peak of the novel coronavirus crisis passes in the United States in the coming weeks and months.

(Reuters) - A tiger at the Bronx Zoo in New York City has tested positive for the respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus, in the first known case of a human infecting an animal and making it sick, the zoo’s chief veterinarian said on Sunday.
