MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia’s coronavirus case tally has risen to 6,343 in the past 24 hours, a record daily increase of 954, the country’s crisis response centre said on Monday.

Cases have been recorded widely, but Moscow remains the epicentre of the outbreak with 591 new cases, the centre said. Forty-seven people have died across the country, it said.

Probably the peak of the epidemy in Russia will be 1 month later.

There is also a problem of diagnostic equipment quality - there are cases when coughing people are examined in some Russian regions and are said they are ok - then they are examined in the central special hospital near Moscow and are diagnosied with the bilateral pneumonia (complication due to the coronavirus) and are said if they delayed the visit to the hospital even 1 day it could be too late to treat them.

Good luck to Russia on this one. They were chastised by the Chinese government about 1 month ago for following Chinese citizens in their country, and now this. A lot of smokers in Russia which is also a problem. Some reparations are in order for this disaster.

Were they using Chinese equipment, the ones that only work 30% of the time?

Vlad uses the same technique as his best friend Xi, they less they say the better they are, will not believe any numbers from either one of them, just remember Chernobyl and the constant hiding of reports and for Xi just look back at SARS and they fake numbers/reports.... all same same but different times, there is a sense of "deja' vu"

Did anyone see the BBC weekend news the other day where they were they were going round various European cities reporting how people were responding to the virus threat?

In Russia the BBC reporter was outside a packed church asking people as they came out why they were not wearing masks and keeping social distancing.

One lady who was a doctor said no need because in the house of God there is no Virus. :shock1:
