Aren't they afraid of Covid-19? Thai media went to investigate busy department store

Following online claims that a department store in Chachoengsao was busy Sanook reporters went there on Sunday.

They were careful not to name the store saying that it was at a t-junction called Wat Sathon on Route 314.

At 4pm there were many people who said they were using restaurants or other food services, were there for the banks or to make payments on hire purchase installments for motor vehicles.

Some banks were shut. Some were open.

Businesses operating in the center had their own screening procedures and had hand gel available.

Sanook said it was relatively quiet inside. Their story seemed to indicate they were concerned for people's health - but they didn't ask anyone about that.

They just pointed out that the provincial governor had not adopted such draconian measures as have been seen in other parts of Thailand.

Some facilities like karaoke, internet parlors and games shops have been shuttered but many other businesses remain open.

Why scare ? buy a virus that could kill at most 100000 people who will die soon anyway because they are old ?

I can understand !

Give us all the benefit of your many decades of knowledge and experience.

Oh, and define 'old'.

Thanks.
