Hiya!

You seem to know a great deal and even more than the airlines themselves ????

i have a bkk-doha on April 13th QR837 Qatar.

At some point someone told me all Qatar flights were canceled because if the ban until the 18th.

Yesterday I saw this flight came in and out and here you are saying it flies tomorrow.

Is it flying on Monday the 13th?  Why?  It arrives here empty maybe?

Many thanks!

So no British people are stranded in Thailand and all this hysteria from the embassy to leave last week was best ignored

"Better safe than sorry"?

Not a wide choice of flights and airlines can decide to shutdown anytime.

Eva will continue because the same plane picks up passengers at uk bound for tapei

don't count on that, they are running more and more European destinations direct from TPE.  Its only a matter of time before they drop BKK altogether, as not enough originating passengers to make it workable.

There are 200 empty seats on the weekend flight so it is a bit of a concern as I’m not leaving until may

Their are still a number of scheduled flights in BKK. I have a list of airline status's in the swampy forum. Yes not many people coming in and still Thais having difficulty reentering their own country.

The scheduled Qatar flights have been subject to late alteration recently. I suspect this was due to a couple of  Qatar A380s on a French Government charter picking up from BKK and thus possibly reducing the load on some of their normal flights.

Their are UK connections from LHR on BA. Very limited though and this is from 12 April. I have seen Glasgow and Edinburgh flights operating this week. There are also a number of US connections available. Heathrow does seem to be being used by the OneWorld Alliance as a hub. OneWorld is BA, Qatar, American, Finnair and Iberia. All these airlines still have very limited flights into LHR.

Following is planned operation as of 0820GMT 07APR20.

London Heathrow – Aberdeen 3 weekly
London Heathrow – Belfast City 7 weekly
London Heathrow – Edinburgh 6 weekly
London Heathrow – Glasgow 4 weekly
London Heathrow – Isle of Man 7 weekly (operated by Loganair ATR42 for BACityFlyer)
London Heathrow – Manchester 7 weekly

no brits have ever been stranded, unless they had no money for a flight or a medical condition preventing them from flying, flights have always been available in the price range 450GBP - 650GBP, or they they could reschedule their existing flight.

i dont know why anyone would claim to be stranded when they clearly weren't.
