The Labour Ministry has launched a skills training programme for people who have lost their jobs or businesses to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The aim is to retrain as many as 7,800 people nationwide, said Thawat Benjatikul, director general of the Department of Skill Development, which is responsible for running the programme.

Courses being offered for free include hydroponics, professional barista, sales by smartphone, and café business. Also available are language and computer courses, he added.

“Each course runs for 15 training days, and trainees will get Bt150 of daily allowance during the training period” he said.

The Gov,t should give them all a compulsory online course in English.

Now that would be something that would really benefit the Nation and the Individual.

English is now outdated .... Chinese is a much better choice as in the future they will be the only tourists coming !!!

... Thailand is now and will be for the future a Chinese province !!!
