Free Covid-19 testing for four groups of people

Four groups of people will automatically receive free Covid-19 testing as they are considered patients under investigation, Dr Taweesilp Visanuyothin, spokesman of the government’s Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration, said on Wednesday (April 8).

Stay indoors message falls on deaf ears in Pattaya as people continue to visit the beach

Despite repeated requests from officials in Thailand for members of the public to remain indoors unless absolutely necessary, there are still people congregating and socialising on and alongside Pattaya beach.

An Indian businessman and marathon runner living in Ban Chang, Rayong, went to the police claiming that a Thai man had ripped him off on Facebook with the promise of a great pair of Nikes.

Pattaya goes into lockdown from 2pm today

Pattaya city will shut down from 2pm on Thursday (April 9), Chonburi Governor Pakarathorn Thienchai announced on Wednesday (April 8 ) following advice from the Chonburi Communicable Disease Control Committee.

Chiang Mai hotspots ‘down 50%’ but PM2.5 still shrouds North
