Popular Post sceadugenga
I've had issues with CAT for a while, mainly over them cutting me off for alleged non-payment, thankfully I always keep receipts. I was told today GIGATEX Fiber/True Visions had a promotion of 500mb/500mb for 699B. I'm currently paying 999B for 100/30. We contacted them and the guy was here very quickly and sweetened the deal by reducing the price to 349B for the first six months. They're connecting next week, no charge.
RichCor
Had a couple of True Online installers visit our family soupshop this week and offered us a GIGATEX Fiber/True Online 200/200 with TrueVisions GoogleTV box for 299THB/mo. They installed it this week. ...but I can't find this 'deal' on their website, just the 599THB/mo offer. I'm assuming this is their 'teaser' price and the cost will go to 599 baht after 6 or 12 months.

villagefarang
We only have TOT out where I live and it was down this morning when we left for town. I guess they did an upgrade because my speed has jumped up a bit.
Popular Post JAG
Be very careful when dealing with True. I have had dealings with them twice. On both occasions they have lied like a cheap alarm clock! If you manage to get a response from their customer relations people, (in itself no mean achievement) they will promise to investigate, and that will be the last you hear. Any follow up emails go unanswered. Edited April 10, 2020 by JAG
frodo77
I am in Mae Lao and with 3BB fibre. Very happy, good speeds and up time over 99%.

Every month, we had to go to town to get reimbursed for services that were not in the contract but that they thought we would not see. It had become tiresome; we returned the parable and the contract that went with it.
sceadugenga
Well I'll run it for the 6 months on the promotion price and if there's any problems I'll look elsewhere. I always have my phone hotspot for back up. My neighbour who knows more about these things than me also rang them for a connection and said that the modem supplied usually retails for around 6000B.
JAG
At the risk of teaching you to suck eggs, check that you are not locked in for a period once the promotion price period has elapsed. that is a favourite trick.
sceadugenga
Yes, I think I sign up for a year. They came Saturday, quite late and said I needed a pole, which I agree I did as CAT had just strung their cable from convenient out buildings, but they were obviously reluctant to proceed so we arranged for them to return today. In the meantime a pole has been purchased and erected.
sceadugenga
Well it's done, they actually ran the cable a good 300M up from the main road. I was surprised to find it came with TV as well, no sure what package but it seems to be well equipped including the Australia Channel. And a phone sim which he said was "for internet anywhere". I'll find out a bit more about that later. Getting 500/500 on wifi for the laptop etc but only 250/300 on the PC, he said I needed to upgrade my modem cable connection. I think....
